My Music Is For Everyone

My music is for everyone. Those who listen with open minds will find their hearts opening and feel love for every lving being. Those who listen with open hearts will find their minds opening to infinite possibilities. Those who listen with open hearts and minds will find their bodies responding to the deepest rhythms of the universe.

Dear Dary John:

Your comments reflect many of my thoughts regarding my own work. Despite the apparently imperishable ultra-conservative faction and the quite opposite clique of elitists whohavemanaged to dominate much if not most of music journalism during the past hundred years, my music is not written to please them but rather to spread a sort of universal love to humanity. It is for this reason more than any other that I am so devoted to keeping the tradition of new, live music going into and through an age which I fear may easily be overtaken by technology to the point that all these values will be totally wiped away, save for "samplings" of the lowest common denominator which is not 'disturbing' to the average person of the 21st Century and beyond. Despite the apparent prevalence of Facebooks, etc., we are not headed into a new age of individuality, but, I fear, all too soon into the most extreme cultural opposite seen in human society since the Dark Ages. If my work and yours, as well as that of all like-minded persons in the creative and performing arts can play a small part in delaying that day, we will have succeeded as a group. As for now, I can only continue to do my own work in a manner that pleases me and I hope that in the process of presenting it, some of the minds of which you speak so eloquently will open a bit further to the infinite possibilities within them and outside of them.

My best always to a respected colleague and friend.
